Jessica Harp

Bio

Hello WBR Nashville friends! As Jessica mentioned on her blog on www.jessicaharp.com, her debut solo album for Warner Bros. Records is finished! Entitled A WOMAN NEEDS, the album is a breezy, modern-country collection that finds Jessica telling appealingly relatable stories about her life, loves, and heartbreaks on such tracks as "Boy Like Me," "Homemade Love," (a duet with Vince Gill), and the title track. "This is the album I have dreamed of making since I was eight years old and singing along to my mom's Judds and Reba McEntire records!" she says.

A WOMAN NEEDS is the first record from Jessica since The Wreckers, which scored a No. 1 country single, a gold album, a Grammy-Award nomination,
and high-profile tours with Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. It was during The Wreckers tour with Urban that Jessica befriended her future producer, Urban's bassist Jerry Flowers, and began co-writing several of the songs on A WOMAN NEEDS. "I think a lot of the magic on the record comes from working with Jerry," Jessica says. "We had a map of the music laid out before he and I ever set foot in the studio last spring."

While the release date for A WOMAN NEEDS will be announced later, the first single, "Boy Like Me," (which features Keith Urban on guitar) is available now iTunes! More news to follow as we get it!
